What is Les Mills PUMP

Les Mills PUMP is based on the Les Mills global group fitness phenomenon, BODYPUMP. With millions of devotees in over 14,000 clubs across 80 countries, it’s one of the world’s most efficient, effective and popular workout programs.

Now, Les Mills has partnered with Beachbody to bring “The Group Effect” class atmosphere and experience to the home.

The “Rep Effect” is the key to the success and popularity of Les Mills PUMP. The approach is to perform a higher number of repetitions with lighter weights to increase heart rate and burn more calories and fat. The instructors emphasize proper form and posture as the key to building a foundation and getting the most out of these high rep workouts.

As opposed to traditional weight training, Les Mills PUMP is not intended to build muscle mass. Rather, the lighter weights with increased reps will help you become leaner, and more ripped. Exercising just three times per week will burn up to 1,000 calories every workout and leave you with a tight, sleek, sculpted body.

Beachbody brought in some of the best Bodypump trainers to advise and help create this DVD series. When you’re working through high rep sets, the motivation provided by the trainers and the high energy music tracks will definitely keep you going.
